Lawyer, educator, author, gourmet, guide and traveller. He was born in Berlin on January 19, 1973. He graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 1995. During his university years, he worked at the Istanbul Revenue Office and at the Istanbul Proceedings Directorate under the Ministry of Finance General Counsel and General Directorate of Proceedings. In 1997, he completed his Master’s degree in Financial Law at the same university.
Şimşek, who became the managing partner of Eke&Şimşek International Law & Consultancy firm in 1995, worked as a lawyer and consultant in the settlement of disputes in International Arbitration Courts of many domestic and foreign companies in many metropolises of the world. He is the owner of many awards, especially in the field of Tax and Administrative Law.
Şimşek, who is still a self-employed lawyer under the Istanbul Bar Association, writes travel articles in high-circulation national and international newspapers and magazines in order to help the travel culture, as well as his legal articles in various newspapers and magazines.
Having traveled to 160 countries of the world, Şimşek is actively involved in Fenerbahçe Sports Club, TÜBIYAD, Turkish Travelers Club, Fenerbahçe Sports Club United Foundation, IU Alumni Association, Finance School Association and many social associations. As the managing partner of Eke&Şimşek International Law&Consultancy, she continues her trainings for both international and Turkey’s distinguished companies in terms of changes in new laws. Şimşek, who is highly specialized in Construction Law and FIDIC Contracts, continues to give trainings in various institutions on this subject.
